Had an amazing stay here. The layout and facilities were perfect for an afternoon and evening spent with our group of friends. The setting by the lake and in nature is idyllic. Check-in was smooth and the staff were lovely. Once we were shown to our room, my wife went to the hot tub and I legged it to where I always head first — the bar. They have built a great little English pub as part of the hotel, which is one of the best hotel bars I’ve been in. Great wines and beers on tap, and the bar snack menu was brilliant for some pre-dinner snacks. Dinner was fantastic — Côte du Boeuf for me — and the setting and vibe were great, as was the service. We spent the rest of the night drinking cocktails in the Green Room bar and chilling in their lounges, which was the perfect setting to spend the evening with our friends and the decor throughout is very well done. The cocktails were fantastic — had a few too many! Breakfast was top quality (had a full English) as well. Next time I’ll try out the sauna, lake, and other facilities myself, but my wife thoroughly enjoyed them. Going to try and do a weekend there if i can on the next visit! Well done to the team for creating an amazing place.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The staff are absolutely exceptional and really went above and beyond. The setting is truly stunning, surrounded by the lake and woodland. The sauna is a standout with such a beautiful view, we’d never seen anything like it! Lots of clever and well thought through communal areas throughout like the proper English pub, classy cocktail lounge and impressive restaurant. The food was faultless. We could not recommend highly enough. What a gem - we will definitely return!

The grounds are breathtaking from the moment you arrive, with autumn colours spread across the landscape. I was immediately drawn to the lakeside, where the wood fired hot tub looked out over a beautifully calm and peaceful view. Even in the early evening, the scene felt serene, a calm lake, a gentle stillness, and a view that made me pause. I began my stay with a beautiful Pilates class in the softly lit studio, the perfect way to unwind, followed by bubbles and delicious nibbles in the bar before dinner. The meal was a standout; both the food and wine and service were utterly delicious. The whole experience felt like stepping into a secret garden - a world of complete bliss. The bedrooms were immaculate and so thoughtfully designed, with every detail crafted to perfection. The bed was, without doubt, one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. Although my husband and I had left the children at home, the four of us could easily have snuggled up comfortably with plenty of room. Waking up at Powdermills was magical. The peacefulness, the views, and the gentle quiet of the grounds were everything. The staff were exceptional, warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. I honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay. Thank you!!

Wow! Just back from an incredible weekend at Crafted. I stayed with a group of friends at the beautiful Lake House cottage. It was comfortable and luxurious with beautiful views over the lake, and so much space for all of us. Comfortable beds and living areas. I’ve never played padel before and LOVED it. Delicious dinner and brekkie in super stylish rooms. I feel totally rejuvenated and can’t wait to visit again! Well done team Crafted - this place is a gem.

Had a lovely time staying here! We got a room for one night and it was the most relaxing break, plus very easy to get to from London even without a car (and they pick you up from the station!). The room was gorgeous, the location is incredible (inside and outside!) and the staff are super helpful and warm. Will definitely be back for the summer to make the most of the outdoor activities, but it was very enjoyable even in freezing temperatures. Highly recommend dinner in the pub too!

It went way beyond my expectations. Crafted is not just a hotel or a guest house – it’s a place where you truly recharge, set in a beautifully designed space surrounded by woodland. From peaceful walks in the woods and relaxing by the fireplace in the evening, to the DJ playing at the bar and the sauna overlooking the lake with its amazing views, there is always something to enjoy. The food is excellent, the rooms are calm and deeply relaxing, and the atmosphere feels effortless. What really stands out is the staff – delivering a level of service that is often hard to find, regardless of how luxurious a place is. I will definitely be back, as there is still so much more for me to explore.

We had a really magical time at Powerdermills on a birthday weekend with some close friends. The location is beautiful with acres of forest and the lake and our rooms in the black barn were beautiful with amazing beds. The place has a chilled creative feel with very stylish dining and sitting spaces and a cosy pub. The food and cocktails were standout throughout. One of the best barmen we've seen. Padell court was really fun too. Highly recommend it. Not cheap but it's worth it

Visited the private dining last night for a birthday celebration… the grounds and refurbishment are amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. Some places try to re invent themselves and do a half hearted job. These guys have smashed it!!!! Service, food, decor, attention to detail!!! Beautiful and can’t wait to comeback to visit the plethora of amenities… might even become a member Thanks everyone for a wonderful evening. Good luck on your Journey. I wish you every success.
